Alexis Nera

Creative Director at Defense Intelligence Agency

Alexis Nera has extensive experience in the field of graphic design and creative direction. Alexis began their career as a Design Intern at Ayala Museum in 2007, where they worked on brochure design and event management. In 2009, they served as a Web Design Intern at Heard Museum, assisting with the design of mini-websites and utilizing HTML. From 2011 to 2013, Alexis worked as an Art Director at Bates CHI & Partners, handling advertising campaigns for various clients. In 2006, they founded Alexis Nera Design, where they served as the Principal and Graphic Designer. This role involved providing brand consulting, packaging design, print and publication design, user experience design, illustration, and creating mock-ups and digital renditions.

Recentely, Alexis has held the position of Art Director and Creative Director at the Defense Intelligence Agency since 2016 and May 2022 respectively.

Alexis Nera has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design from Corcoran College of Art + Design, obtained from 2006 to 2010. In 2016, Alexis attended General Assembly for a short-term program in Front-End Web Development.
