Chris Collins

Deputy Director, Customer Operations Directorate at Defense Logistics Agency

Chris Collins has extensive work experience in various roles within the defense and military sectors. Chris began their career in 1988 with the United States Marine Corps, specializing in Aviation Supply and Ground Supply and Personnel Management. Chris later joined the Marine Corps Systems Command as an Operations Officer. In 2005, they served as an Aviation Supply Officer with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 26. From 2007 to 2008, they were the Commanding Officer at the Military Entrance Processing Command.

In 2008, Chris joined the United States Marine Corps Aviation Cell as the Chief, coordinating logistical support for DLA managed material to all USMC aviation commands. Chris also supported strategic logistics planning and programming for the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and Counter Terrorism Force.

From 2011 to present, Chris has been working with the Defense Logistics Agency. Their roles have included Deputy Director of the Customer Operations Directorate, Deputy Chief of the US Air Force Customer Facing Division, Fusion Operations Division Chief, and Retail Operations. Their responsibilities have included supervision of personnel, support for Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command, and overseeing customer operations.

Chris also briefly worked as an Operations Officer at ISF Strat Log, MNSTC-I in 2009 and as an Operations Officer at Marine Corps Systems Command from 2002 to 2004.

Chris Collins has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The Citadel, which they earned from 1993 to 1996. Chris later obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, completing their studies between 2000 and 2002. In 2013, Collins attended the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they completed the Advanced Program in Logistics and Technology. Additionally, they pursued Executive Education in the Senior Executive Fellows program at Harvard Kennedy School in 2019. Collins also participated in the BOOST/MECEP/NPS program, though no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
