Command Sgt. Major Tomeka N. O’Neal serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader for Defense Logistics Agency as of Aug. 10, 2020.

A native of Chicago and raised in East Point, Georgia, she enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 1989 as a Parachute Rigger, completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and graduated from Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia, in February 1990. She entered the Automated Logistical Specialist (92A) military occupational specialty in 1998.

Her awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with six oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters and Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters and several other awards and decorations.

She possesses a Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University and a Master of Business Administration from Trident University International, earning magna cum laude honors with both. She is a member of the Quartermaster Regiment’s Order of Saint Martin (Distinguished), 3-61 Calvary Regiment’s Order of the Spur, Field Artillery’s Order of Saint Barbara, and Ordnance Corps’ Order of Samuel L. Sharpe. She is a recipient of the 84th Explosive Ordnance Battalion/Corps Defuzilier Award and Demonstrated Master Logistician through the International Society of Logistics. She holds foreign parachute badges from Germany, Belgium and Romania and is a member of the prestigious XVIII Airborne Corps Sergeant Audie Murphy Association.
