Lance Milsted has extensive work experience in various roles within the media industry. Lance started their career as a Manager of Government Sales at PVSSPEER/Qwest Digital Media/Grace Digital Media in 2000. Lance later worked as an Account Executive for Government Sales at Qwest Digital Media from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, Lance served as the Director of Sales at mBlaze Multimedia Design, Inc. and mblaze. Lance then joined Alhurra as a Freelance Editor from 2003 to 2005. Lance gained experience as a Public Affairs Chief at the 366th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment from 2004 to 2005, where they supervised soldiers in the broadcast and print journalism departments. Lance also worked as a Chief of Advanced Broadcast Subjects and later as the Chief of Broadcast Operations at the Defense Information School from 2005 to 2009. Lance briefly served as an Editor for the Today Show at NBC Universal in 2009 before transitioning to the role of Director of Sales at mBlaze Multimedia Design, Inc. in 2009. Lance then became the Operations Lead and Chief of Advanced Broadcast Subjects at the Defense Information School until 2009. Lance's experience in the defense media field continued when they became the Station Manager at Defense Media Activity in 2010, leading a team of producers and overseeing strategic communications for combatant commands. Lance later took on roles such as Senior Producer and News Director at Defense Media Activity. Currently, Lance holds the position of Division Chief of Production Services at Defense Media Activity, where they manage the Live production, Multimedia, and Post Production teams.
Lance Milsted's education history begins in 1981 when they attended North High School, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After completing their high school education in 1984, there was no further information provided regarding their educational pursuits until 1991. From 1991 to 1993, Lance attended Chaminade University of Honolulu and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
