Maliki Connor

Chief, Civilian Personnel at Defense Media Activity

Maliki Connor has a diverse work experience in human resources and personnel management. Maliki began their career in 2005 as a Noncommissioned Officer in Charge at the 89th Mission Support Squadron, where they provided personnel support to Air Force units and managed assignment availability. Maliki then joined the United States Air Force, where they held various leadership positions, including Superintendent Joint Matters and Superintendent Defense Media Activity Air Force Personnel. In these roles, they oversaw the human resource support and services for thousands of military personnel and managed recruitment and personnel actions. After retiring from the Air Force in 2015, Maliki joined the Defense Media Activity as a Human Resources Specialist, eventually becoming the Chief of Civilian Personnel. Maliki'sextensive experience in personnel management and leadership positions makes him a valuable asset in the field.

Maliki Connor started their education journey by graduating from Ellison High School with a diploma in 1994. After that, they pursued their higher education at the Community College of the Air Force, where they completed an Associate's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. Additionally, during their time at the same institution, they earned another Associate's degree in Information Systems Technology. Following this, they attended American Military University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from 2010 to 2015. Continuing their academic pursuits, Maliki then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General at American Military University from 2017 to 2023.
