Micah Nagel

Micah Nagel has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Micah started their career as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon in 2018, where they designed and built a web application and an API for HR system management. In 2019, Micah joined Raytheon as a Software Engineer I, where they worked on moving a legacy Java based web application into the cloud and adopted DevOps practices and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.

In 2020, they joined Parsons Corporation, initially as an Associate Software Engineer, and later promoted to Software Engineer I. At Parsons, Micah was involved in various projects, including supporting customer requests, new feature development, and maintenance of Java based web applications.

In 2020, Micah also worked at DoD Platform One as a Platform Engineer, and from 2022, they are currently employed at Defense Unicorns as a Kubernetes Engineer.

Micah Nagel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Liberty University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Istio Administrator from Tetrate in June 2022.
