Monica Murcia

Monica Murcia has a wealth of experience in UX and UI design, having worked in the field since 2003. Monica began their career as a Customer Service and Collections Representative at NCO Financial Systems. In 2008, they became a Mobile Lead Designer at Manwin Canada, where they managed tasks delegation and productivity in several projects. Monica then moved on to become a Web Designer at MindGeek in 2012, and was responsible for managing the mobile department design team. In 2014, they were UX and Creative Manager at LANDR Audio, and in 2015 they became a UX Designer at Floe Design + Technologies. In 2017, they were Lead UX Designer at Carebook Technologies Inc., and in 2018 they became a Senior UX Designer at Ubisoft. Most recently in 2021, they were User Experience Lead at DefenseStorm. Throughout their career, they have worked with clients in different industries, driving the UX and UI strategy of complex web applications, building atomic design systems, and creating design kits.

Monica Murcia studied Industrial and Product Design at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 1999 to 2002. Monica then attended Herzing College from 2006 to 2008, where they earned an AEC in Graphic Design for the Web. Her field of study was Web design.
