Nirusan Tharmanathan

Nirusan Tharmanathan has a diverse work experience. Nirusan started as an Embedded Software Engineer intern at Nöffé in 2019, where they researched and developed new functions for MCUs based on sensor data. Following that, they worked as a Hardware Engineer at Defigo for a brief period in 2019.

In 2019, they joined elhub.no as an Operations Analyst, where they primarily focused on monitoring the Elhub solution and working with Oracle FMW components and EnergyIP. Nirusan also managed the workload within the Product Reliability team and coordinated activities with other teams.

In 2022, Nirusan Tharmanathan returned to Defigo, this time as the Director of Operations. Nirusan is responsible for improving and maintaining technical processes related to system, change, release, incident, and problem management. Nirusan ensures seamless installation, day-to-day usage, and maintenance/service for service partners, customers, and end-users. Nirusan'srole also involves being security-oriented and being the link between the technical side and the day-to-day running of the company.

Before their current role, in 2022, they were a Service Automation Manager at Defigo, where they interacted with C-suite executives to problem-solve critical issues and provide recommendations. Nirusan was also responsible for the technical operations of the solution.

Nirusan Tharmanathan completed their Bachelor's degree in Digital Signal Processing, nanoelectronics, and robotics at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2012 to 2016. Nirusan then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Informatics with a focus on Digital Signal Processing at the same institution from 2017 to 2019. In terms of additional certifications, Nirusan obtained the OKR - Objective, Key Results certification from Tekna in December 2022, the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from AgileLeanHouse A/S in October 2021, and the EnergyIP 8.7 Implementer certification from eMeter Corporation, a Siemens Business, in February 2021.
