Ioannis Kasioulis

Scientist III at Definigen

Ioannis Kasioulis is currently employed as a Scientist III at DefiniGEN, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from 2020 to 2022, where they were involved in cerebrovascular/ cardiovascular research using iPSC-derived smooth muscle cells and macrophages with the goal of identifying small molecules for disease amelioration/ prevention. Ioannis Kasioulis obtained their Bachelor's degree in Genetics from the University of Leicester between 2005 and 2009. Ioannis then completed their Masters by Research in Biomedical Sciences, General at The University of Edinburgh in 2010. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biomedical Sciences, General from The University of Edinburgh between 2010 and 2014. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Virtual Reprogramming of Somatic Cells to iPSCs from STEMCELL Technologies in December 2021.
