Michael P.

Michael P. currently serves as General Counsel at Definity, a position held since 2015. Prior to this role, Michael was Counsel for Canada at State Farm Insurance from 2011 to 2015, following the acquisition of Canadian operations by the Desjardins Group. From 2001 to 2010, Michael was Senior Legal Counsel for Investments at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, managing a substantial global investment portfolio and advising on diverse investment activities. Michael began a legal career at Torys LLP from 1995 to 2000 as a business lawyer specializing in securities and corporate law. Educational qualifications include an LLB and BCL from McGill University, along with a BA in History and Political Science from Western University and earlier studies at the University of St Andrews.
