Jonathan T.D. Neil

Jonathan T.D. Neil is a board member at Defy Ventures. Jonathan was previously an associate provost for academic affairs and strategic initiatives at Claremont Graduate University from August 2019 to June 2022. Jonathan was also the founding director of the Center for Management in the Creative Industries at Claremont Graduate University from July 2015 to July 2017. In September 2011, they became the editor of Al Held Essays on Visual Art at The Brooklyn Rail and held that position until July 2016. Jonathan T.D. Neil was the global head of business development at Sotheby's Institute of Art from January 2009 to July 2019.

Jonathan T.D. Neil earned their Ph.D. in Jonathan'story of Art from Columbia University in the City of New York. Jonathan also holds a B. Arch from Cornell University. Prior to their studies at Cornell, they attended Phillips Academy.
