Ted Royer

Ted Royer has extensive work experience in the field of geophysics, specializing in reservoir characterization and analysis for hydrocarbon reserves estimation and field development planning. Ted has held key roles in various companies, including DeGolyer and MacNaughton as Vice President, Senior Geophysicist, Global Geophysical Services as Sr. Reservoir Geophysicist/Geomodeler, Prism Seismic as a Geophysicist, and Monitor Scientific as a Consultant.

In these positions, Ted has been involved in interpreting seismic data, generating and analyzing seismic attributes, conducting multivariate statistical analysis, and developing 3D models to identify the most productive areas of reservoirs. Additionally, they have experience in integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data to provide drilling recommendations and completion strategies.

Prior to their industry experience, Ted worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines and also gained experience as a Geophysical Analyst at Western Geophysical and a Geophysicist at Phillips Petroleum Company.

Throughout their career, Ted has also been involved in software testing, debugging, and design, supporting their work in reservoir characterization.

Ted Royer obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Ted further pursued their education at the same institution and completed a Master's degree in Geophysics from 2001 to 2004.
