VP, Digital Initiatives at DeHaat

Nikhil Toshniwal is the current VP of Digital Initiatives at DeHaat. Nikhil has also previously founded FarmGuide India, a tech for good company that set out to bring smiles to last mile farmers by getting them access to finance, insurance, buyers, information, agri inputs/machinery, and services.

Nikhil was selected among a 25 member team for a social entrepreneurship workshop out of 60000 applicants worldwide back in 2013. Nikhil was awarded the PFA scholarship by IIT Delhi for a paper presentation they gave during this time. Nikhil also performed regression analysis on productivity vs problems in the rural sector to prioritize difficulties and proposed VillageStree, a business model for providing employment opportunities to lower strata in Argentina, Brazil, and India.

Since founding FarmGuide India in 2016, Nikhil has helped million+ farmers find suitable credit, insurance, input, information, and buyer connectivity. Nikhil has set a goal to target 20 million farmers and continue to help them improve their circumstances.

Nikhil Toshniwal received a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
