Senior Mobile Engineer at Deimos

Mercy Ikami has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Mercy started their career as an Information Technology Technical Support at Kenya Dairy Board in 2016, where they assisted with the design and development of mobile and web applications. Mercy then joined AMREF in 2017 as a Junior Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of various mobile applications for automating healthcare operations.

In 2018, Mercy joined Ekraal Innovation Hub as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they worked on projects such as a Tracking System (IoT) mobile application, an Emergency Evacuation system for the Ministry of Health, and an Ambulance checklist mobile application for the Ministry of Health. Mercy used Android Java, Kotlin, and Flutter/Dart for these projects.

From 2020 to 2023, Mercy worked at Sendy Ltd as a Software Engineer. Here, they were responsible for building the Sendy shopper mobile application and the Sendy payment library using Android Kotlin and Java. Mercy also contributed to the rewriting of the Sendy Supply Marketplace mobile application using Flutter.

Most recently, Mercy joined Deimos in 2023 as a Senior Android Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Mercy Ikami attended Egerton University from 2013 to 2017, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Mercy'sfield of study focused on Computer Science during this period.
