Thorben Lüthge

Thorben Lüthge has extensive experience in the finance industry, with a focus on markets, structuring, and trading. Thorben is currently serving as the Head of Markets and Managing Director at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Structuring and Trading and also served as Managing Director at the same company from April 2010 to December 2022. Other notable roles include being a Lecturer at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since 2019, Head of Structuring & Risk Management and Senior Vice President at HSH Nordbank from October 2007 to March 2010, and Head of Arbitrage Trading and Executive Director at DZ BANK AG from August 1997 to September 2007. Earlier in their career, they completed a training program at HSBC in 1999 and worked as an Exchange Traded Derivatives Trader/Brokerage at Vereins-und Westbank AG from August 1993 to June 1997.

Thorben Lüthge attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management from 1997 to 2001, earning a Diplom-Betriebswirt degree in Business Administration. In 1999, they also briefly studied International Economics, Capital Markets, and Econometrics at City, University of London. Later in 2009, they attended the London Business School, specializing in Strategy/Leadership. Additionally, Lüthge obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in 2003.
