Dr. Michael Stein

Dr. Michael Stein is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as a Portfolio Manager for Quantitative Products in Asset Allocation and overseeing Quantitative Risk Overlay Management at Deka Investment since April 2018. Prior to this role, Dr. Stein held the position of Stand-in Chair Professor of Empirical Economics and Econometrics at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau from April 2016 to March 2018 and worked as an Assistant Professor of Financial Market Econometrics at the University of Duisburg-Essen from October 2011 to March 2018. Dr. Stein's prior experience also includes a role at Credit Suisse as a Real Estate Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager from January 2007 to September 2011. Dr. Stein earned a Doctorate in Economics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a Diplom-Volkswirt in Economics from The University of Freiburg.
