Colin Clingan

Colin C. Clingan is a Managing Director at DelMorgan & Co. He has over 20 years of experience, including key roles within military acquisitions, investment management, client strategy, risk underwriting, structured finance, marketing, operations and investment banking advisory.

Most recently, Mr. Clingan spent several years in leveraged credit, underwriting debt financings – primarily, sponsor-backed transactions for buyouts, M&A and dividends, as well as comprehensive recapitalizations. In addition to having been personally responsible for over 375 discrete transactions, Mr. Clingan also actively managed a portfolio of over $3.5 billion of senior secured term loan exposure across a variety of industries. Relatedly, he also led a number of complicated distressed exchange/restructuring scenario analyses.

Mr. Clingan is very active in the QSR space. He is currently advising operating partners (who enjoy exclusive development rights) to bring a new fast-casual chicken concept to the State of Arizona.

Outside of work, Mr. Clingan most enjoys family time with his wife and two daughters – never missing an opportunity to find a beach.

Mr. Clingan holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from London Business School and an MBA from UCLA Anderson. He also graduated with Military Distinction from the United States Air Force Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.
