Sarah Hench has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple organizations and roles. Sarah is currently the Executive Vice President of Strategic Engagement at the Delaware Community Foundation. Sarah previously held the position of Vice President of Community Impact at the same organization. Prior to that, they worked at PIE Network as the Deputy Executive Director for Program Strategy, where they supported education advocates through strategic programming and facilitated connections among peers and policy resources. Sarah also served as the Senior Director of Partnerships at the Rodel Foundation of Delaware, where they led statewide engagement campaigns in support of world-class schools and worked with various partners and policymakers. Additionally, they have worked at New York University as a Senior Policy Analyst and Graduate Assistant and at DDB Bass & Howes as a Senior Administrative Assistant. Sarah started their career as a Legislative Fellow at the Delaware General Assembly.
Sarah Hench earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Delaware from 1999-2003. Sarah then pursued a Master of Public Administration degree in Public & Non-profit Management and Policy from New York University from 2003-2005.
