Brandon Burgess

Brandon Burgess has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Brandon currently works at Delek US Holdings, Inc. as the Director of Refinery Operations, a position they have held since November 2023. Before that, they served as the Senior Manager of Refinery Operations from May 2023 to November 2023 and as the IMS Manager from May 2022 to May 2023.

Prior to joining Delek US Holdings, Inc., Brandon worked at Flint Hills Resources for nearly a decade. Brandon held the role of Strategic Asset Engineer from April 2017 to May 2022. Before that, they served as a Systems Reliability Engineer from August 2013 to April 2017. In this role, their responsibilities included being the long-term strategic owner for reliability strategies within the chemicals area and leading investigations for process, safety, and environmental incidents. Brandon was also a reliability leader in the organization, promoting a shared reliability language and sharing learning through structured presentations.

Brandon's career started at Tesoro, where they worked for over a decade. Brandon began as an Operator in November 2001 and worked their way up to the role of Operator Driven Reliability Coordinator from January 2011 to July 2013. Brandon then became a Shift Supervisor from April 2004 to January 2011. In this position, they were responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations within the operating units and communicating any abnormal or unacceptable performance to the organization.
