Luuk Van Der Wielen

Prof. Luuk van der Wielen headed the bioprocess engineering department at Delft University of Technology until 2017. As director of BE-BASIC, a global private-public research organization for Biobased Sustainable Industrial Chemistry and Energy, he managed a cumulative budget exceeding €250 million. Since 2017 he is the Director of the Bernal Institute at the University of Limerick in Ireland.
