Abhinav Azad

Abhinav Azad is a Doctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology, focusing on the role of various XR technologies in pedestrian behavior studies within the Department of Transport & Planning. Previous experiences include serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Università di Trento, where research involved behavior study design, VR conversational agents, and AI in healthcare systems. Abhinav worked as a Data Analyst at Cerner Corporation with a focus on deep learning and computer vision in biomedical image analysis, and completed a research internship at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics, engaging with robotics architecture and computer vision. Additionally, Abhinav held various roles in organizations such as the Centre For Innovation and SAIMA CORPORATION, and participated in student governance at IIT Madras. Educational credentials include an Integrated Dual Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Semester Exchange Program at Czech Technical University in Prague.
