Maria Pastrama-Mastnak, PhD, is currently serving as a Research Funding Advisor at Delft University of Technology, beginning in April 2024. Previously, Maria held the position of Clinical Scientist at Amber Implants BV from January 2022 to April 2024, and co-founded the TU/e PostDoc Association, where Maria served as Vice-President from January 2020 to January 2022. Maria's academic background includes a postdoctoral researcher role at Eindhoven University of Technology, focusing on a synthetic implant for knee cartilage defects, and earlier postdoctoral research at KU Leuven using MR imaging for cartilage mechanics. Maria completed a distinguished PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Technische Universität Wien, where the research concentrated on the micromechanics of bone materials, following a Master of Science from the same institution.
