Mona Soliman

Postdoctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology

Mona Soliman, PhD, is a skilled researcher and engineer specializing in water quality and sanitation. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Technische Universiteit Delft since February 2016, Mona focuses on waterborne virus removal using low-cost ceramic membranes, collaborating with various Nicaraguan NGOs and stakeholders. Previously, Mona worked as a Project Coordinator and Lead Water Engineer at Dorsch International Consultants GmbH, overseeing projects in Egypt, Jordan, and Germany, and contributed to the design and review of wastewater treatment plants and water transmission pipelines. Prior experience includes a role as a Water Engineer at Misr Sanitary Engineering, where expertise in wastewater transmission and decentralized treatment systems was developed. Mona holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology, a Master’s degree from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University.
