Abbas Merchant

Abbas Merchant has worked in various roles across multiple companies over the past two decades. In 1999, they began their career as a Sr. Business Systems Manager for NorthPoint Communications. In 2001, they moved to AT&T as a Sr. Business Systems Manager and was awarded a certificate of merit for their outstanding contribution. In 2002, they became the Regional Manager for Middle East and North Africa at Reliance Communications, where they pursued business opportunities in the MENA region. In 2005, they joined Reliance Globalcom as the AVP Product Development & Management for the Carrier Business. In 2014, they became the Director of Strategic Marketing and Research at Global Cloud Xchange. In 2015, they joined Aerial Services Pvt Ltd as the Managing Director, where they identified and targeted new high-growth customer segments, which led to a 4x growth in profits over a 2-year period. In the same year, they also co-founded E-Buzz, where they established a new company and built a framework to deliver business capabilities, acquire customers and grow revenues. In 2022, they became the Head of India Operations at Delivery Solutions.

Abbas Merchant has a comprehensive educational background. Abbas began their studies in 1991, completing their HSC at Jai Hindu jobs in 1993. Abbas then went on to the University of Mumbai, where they earned their BE in Computers in 1997. That same year, they enrolled in the University of San Francisco and earned their MBA in Telecommunications and IT in 1999. In 2012, they completed a General Management program at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
