James Yap

James Yap is an experienced professional in the field of actuarial studies, currently serving as Manager/Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting since March 2015, with previous roles as Consultant and Actuarial Analyst. Upon completing a Master’s Degree in Actuarial Studies at UNSW in 2014, James gained diverse experience in research and tutoring, including a tenure as a Research Assistant focused on Superannuation fund performance, an Honours Student investigating Disability and Life Expectancy trends, and a Tutor in Actuarial Statistics. James also held the position of Actuarial Assistant at Quantium, where responsibilities included research and data analysis under senior supervision. James earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Actuarial Science and Finance from UNSW prior to the Master’s degree. James completed secondary education at North Sydney Boys High School.
