Lee Crawford has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2001 as a Staff Attorney at the Center for Death Penalty Litigation, Lee represented inmates in habeas proceedings and provided consulting services to attorneys. In 2003, Lee joined Proskauer Rose LLP as an Associate, handling criminal and civil litigation. In 2007, Lee moved to Connon Wood Scheidemantle LLP, where they handled business litigation.
In 2013, Lee took an entrepreneurial turn and launched their own law practice, Lee Crawford Law, where they discovered a deep interest in building things for the web. They discontinued their practice in 2014 to pursue web-related work. That same year, Lee attended General Assembly's UX Design Immersive Program, completing a project-based course in user experience design.
Following their training, Lee worked as a UX Designer for Tweat.it and as a User Experience Designer and WordPress Site Developer at a consulting company. In 2015, they joined the BORN Group as a Junior UX Designer and were later promoted to Lead UX Designer, working on projects across various industries.
In 2018, Lee joined Blue State as a UX Designer, eventually progressing to the roles of Senior UX Designer and Principal UX Designer. Most recently, in 2022, Lee joined Delos as a Senior Product Designer and subsequently became the Senior Director of Product Design in January 2023.
Lee Crawford attended General Assembly in 2014, where they studied UXDI. They also earned a J.D. degree in Public Interest Law and Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, though the specific start and end years are unknown. Furthermore, Lee pursued Cinema Studies at New York University and obtained a B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Austin, with a major in English and minors in Film and Sociology.
