Alvin A.

Alvin A. has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and engineering. Alvin currently works as a Quantitative Engineer at Delphia since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Radar from July 2019 to January 2021. Alvin also co-founded a small software company called Northspring Technologies in Toronto, where they handled sales, marketing, copywriting, and design from September 2018 to May 2019. Alvin also worked as a Data Scientist at Precima from July 2016 to August 2018. Their early experience includes working as a Jr Associate Marketing Strategy & Analytics - Data Science at SapientNitro from July 2015 to July 2016, where they used Python and R for data cleaning and transformation, applied dimension reduction techniques and clustering algorithms, and used logistic regression for predictive modeling.

Alvin A. completed their Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science & Statistics from the University of Waterloo from 2009 to 2013. Alvin then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Mathematics degree in Statistics from the same university from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Alvin earned several certifications, including a Google Analytics Individual Qualification in July 2015 and various machine learning and deep learning certifications from Coursera, completed between 2014 and 2018.
