Kai Chen is a software engineer with a diverse range of experience. They started their career as a Research Assistant at the Network and Information Center, DUT in 2007, working on website development projects. In 2009, they became a Teaching Assistant at the International People School, where they managed group sessions and organized surveys.
In 2010, Kai Chen worked as a PHP Developer at Gleeson Library, developing a government documents visit statistic system and maintaining library software. They then joined IBM in 2011 as a Java JavaScript Developer, participating in a web tooling infrastructure project and creating new widgets for web-based applications.
Kai Chen continued their career at Vivisimo, an IBM Company, as a Ruby Developer in 2012. They worked on the Watson Explorer Application Builder and Watson Explorer Engine projects. In 2014, they joined IBM again as a Frontend Engineer in Text Analytics Tooling, where they designed and built a web-based application for creating extractors.
Most recently, Kai Chen has been working at Delphix since 2015. They started as a Member of Technical Staff, designing and developing software features for Delphix server. They then became a Senior Member of Technical Staff 2, and currently hold the position of Staff Engineer. In this role, they design and implement UI components that can be used in different products, participate in feature requirements discussions, and prepare implementation plans for the front-end team.
Kai Chen completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from Dalian University of Technology from 2006 to 2010. Later, from 2010 to 2012, Kai pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of San Francisco.
