David Hanan

David Hanan has extensive experience in environmental engineering and management across various companies. Currently serving as Managing Director at both GHC CONSULTING LTD. and ESP (Environmental Solution Providers) Limited since August 2017, David also owns and directs Big Steam Investments Limited, a property investment firm focusing on refurbishing historic buildings. David's role as an Environmental Engineer at Delta Utility Services, which began in 2003, includes leading the Solid Waste Section and advising the council on landfill investigations. Previous positions include Solid Waste Engineer and Landfill Engineering Officer at Dunedin City Council, where David provided policy advice and supervised operations at landfills. Additional experience includes leadership roles at MWH Global and Downer EDI Works Ltd. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Otago and a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering from Otago Polytechnic.
