Delta Air Lines
Heather Winkle is Vice President of Digital Experience at Delta Air Lines, where she leads the strategy, design, and development of Delta’s digital products and services. Her work focuses on delivering seamless, human-centered experiences across the airline’s digital ecosystem.
With nearly three decades of experience as a designer and product leader in the tech industry, Heather began her career in Silicon Valley after earning a degree in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University. She contributed to the creation of iconic digital experiences at companies such as Apple, Adobe, eBay, Intuit, Yahoo, and Netscape.
Driven by a passion for design’s role in business transformation, Heather pursued an MBA with a focus on innovation leadership. She expanded her expertise to include business strategy, organizational design, and systems thinking—helping teams and companies scale human-centered design across complex environments.
Before joining Delta, Heather served as Chief Design Officer at McAfee, where she shaped the company’s vision for the future of online protection. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Design at Capital One, where she helped build and mature the company’s product design practice and led the creation of award-winning digital banking experiences.
Heather’s commitment to improving the human experience extends beyond product design. She founded an Equity by Design team to address bias and inclusivity in design practice, served on community service and grant-making committees, and remains active in business resource groups supporting women in tech, LGBTQIA2S allies, Black and Latinx professionals, and adoptive families.
