Ambur Miller-Alfaro

Ambur Miller-Alfaro has over 20 years of work experience in the dental industry. Ambur began their career as a Dental Assistant and Front office staff at Dr. Robert Dakin, Jr. Ambur then transitioned to become a Registered Dental Hygienist at Gentility Dentistry and later at Wichita Family Dental, where they provided oral health care to patients, including those in community nursing homes. In 2013, Ambur joined Delta Dental of Kansas as a Sr. Professional Relations Representative, where they managed and recruited a provider network for a significant portion of Kansas and provided communication and education to dentists and their staff. Ambur was later promoted to Director of Professional Relations, leading the Provider Relations team in contracting, recruitment, and retention. Currently, Ambur holds the position of Vice President of Professional Relations at Delta Dental of Kansas, where they oversee the department's operations, maintains industry relationships, and conducts educational presentations and industry communications.

Ambur Miller-Alfaro attended Wichita State University from 1999 to 2004, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. Ambur continued their education at the same university, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from 2004 to 2006. During this time, they also obtained certifications in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide, as well as becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist.

In the future, Ambur Miller-Alfaro plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree at The University of Kansas, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. This program is expected to begin in 2023, although the completion date is not yet specified.

Additionally, Ambur Miller-Alfaro holds a certification in CPR from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. The exact date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
