Destiny Degante

Destiny Degante is currently serving as the VP of Social Awareness & Inclusion at Delta Gamma since January 2025 and is a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago’s CEDAR Lab, focusing on close relationships within social class contexts. Additionally, Destiny works as a Front End Associate at Walmart, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving complaints. As a Research Assistant Intern at the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health, contributions have been made to the development of the SPEAK Cat Tool for assessing early childhood development understanding. Experience as a Teaching Assistant at High Jump includes mentoring and supervising 8th graders, while a role as Program Coordinator and Support Intern at HFS Chicago Scholars involved strategizing programming and facilitating workshops. Previous experience includes working as a Retail Cashier at Tony's Fresh Market and participating in an engineering collaboration program with ComEd. Destiny is pursuing education at the University of Chicago, having graduated from Francis W. Parker School in June 2022.
