Innocenzi Tony

Tony Innocenzi has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Innocenzi started their career in 1996 at International Power Ltd., where they served as the Engineering Manager for the Hazelwood power station, responsible for managing engineering, strategic maintenance, major outages, and capital improvement work. Innocenzi then transitioned to the role of 2030 Project Director and Engineering Development Manager, overseeing the Hazelwood project until 2011.

In 2012, Innocenzi joined ENGIE Australia & New Zealand. Innocenzi first held the role of Strategy, Planning, Programs, Risk & Compliance Director, where they provided strategic leadership to the business and managed enterprise-wide functions such as risk and compliance, quality assurance, and IT service delivery.

Following this, Innocenzi took on the position of Engineering & Major Projects Manager, responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for all ENGIE assets in Australia. Innocenzi then became the Asset Manager for the Hazelwood power station and mine, where they directed the strategic and commercial operation of the facility, focusing on safe operations and cost reduction.

From 2017 to 2022, Innocenzi held the role of Project/Programme Director for the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project, one of Australia's largest rehabilitation projects. Innocenzi oversaw the decommissioning, demolition, rehabilitation, and remediation of the 4000-hectare site, ensuring the transition to a low-carbon future.

In 2022, Innocenzi joined Delta Group as the Asset Closure Lead.

Innocenzi Tony completed an Advanced Diploma of Project Management at the Australian College of Project Management in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an Executive MBA from the Melbourne Business School in 2010. In 1981, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Victoria University. As of 2023, they plan to pursue a Foundations of Directorship degree at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
