Deltares
Marjolein Mens has extensive experience in water resources management and flood risk management, currently serving as a researcher and PhD candidate at Deltares since March 2006. Previously, Marjolein Mens was a visiting scholar at the US Army Corps of Engineers in mid-2013 and conducted research for the European project FLOODsite at TU Delft from March 2006 to March 2007. Marjolein Mens also completed internships at HKV lijn in water, focusing on data assimilation for a rainfall runoff model in 2005, and at Rijkswaterstaat directie Oost Nederland, investigating the morphological effects of bottom vanes in the IJssel river in 2004. Marjolein Mens holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Universiteit Twente (2010-2015) and a Master’s degree in Hydrology and Water Management from Wageningen University & Research (2000-2006).
