Luca MacCarrone

Luca Maccarrone has extensive work experience in the digital media industry. Luca started their career as a Technical Lead at Power Reply s.r.l, where they led a project to develop a web-based energy offering configuration system. Luca successfully replaced the legacy product and reduced the startup time for the electrical supply service.

After that, Luca worked as a Freelance Developer, providing consultancy and contractor work for various companies. Luca gained experience in application development, network administration, and teaching.

In 2011, Luca joined Deltatre and held various roles. As the Scrum Product Owner of the Diva Player, they delivered two generations of the player, reaching a peak of 1 million simultaneous viewers during the 2014 Winter Olympics. Luca then became the Head of the Platforms Unit, where they managed major web and media projects and implemented a cloud-based deployment proposition.

Luca's next role at Deltatre was Senior Director of Products. Luca supervised the development of Axis, Diva, and Mtribes, integrating these products into a unified proposition and launching them for international broadcasters.

Currently, Luca is serving as the Head of Digital Products in the VXP Unit at Deltatre. Luca is responsible for directing the digital products, including Forge, and contributed to the revenue from new projects in 2023. Luca issued a strategic roadmap and directed the evolution to a headless presentation manager, resulting in a reduction in effort and cost of digital web properties.

Luca Maccarrone's education history includes a Laurea magistrale (Master's degree) in the field of Innovative software technologies from the Università degli Studi di Torino.
