David Chuma

David Chuma has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. David began their career as a Summer Intern at Battelle in 2006 and later worked as a Summer REU Intern at the University of Florida in 2007. From 2005 to 2009, David held multiple roles at Wheaton College, including Instruction Tech Assistant II, Research Technician, and Student Accountant. In 2009, they joined Professional Contract Sterilization, Inc. as a QC Lab Technician, where they performed sterility tests and generated product certification documents. David then moved to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2010, where they worked as a Research Associate, focusing on gene delivery and vaccine development. David excelled in various tasks such as virus production, immunological assays, and viral load quantification. Following this, David worked at Sanofi Genzyme as a Senior Research Associate from 2016 to 2018. At Rheos Medicines, they served as a Senior Research Associate from 2018 to 2020, gaining expertise in CRISPR Cas-9 gene knock-out, target identification, and in vivo program development. Most recently, David joined Vor Biopharma in 2020, initially as a Principal Associate Scientist and then as a Scientist. David has been involved in various research projects and contributed to the scientific advancements in biopharmaceuticals. In 2022, David started working at DEM Biopharma, Inc. as a Scientist.
