Gary Asmussen

Gary Asmussen has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Gary currently holds the position of Director of Drug Discovery at DEM Biopharma, Inc., starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Casma Therapeutics, where they held multiple roles including Director of Biochemistry from June 2022 to February 2023, Senior Scientist II from January 2021 to June 2022, Senior Scientist I from August 2019 to January 2021, and Scientist II from January 2019 to August 2019. Before joining Casma Therapeutics, Gary worked at Sanofi Genzyme for over two decades, starting as a Staff Scientist I in January 1997 and serving in that role until December 2018.

Gary Asmussen has a strong educational background in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. From 2004 to 2009, they attended Northeastern University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Prior to that, starting from 1995 until 2000, they also studied at Northeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Toxicology.
