Jeremy Cheung has worked in the IT industry for over 19 years. In 2002, they began their career as a Technical Recruiter for Volt Information Sciences. In 2003, they joined Microsoft as a Support Analyst II. During their time there, they supported Business Programs and Policy, created and manipulated SQL queries, maintained user profiles and security settings, provided training support and ongoing education, triaged legal documents, supported application compatibility, tested production environment, conducted user acceptance testing, documented web sites and help files, and completed MSE 2. In 2004, they became a Software Analyst/Developer for American Seafoods, where they were responsible for providing IT business and logistical support, spearheading and organizing business and IT program management, and supporting the organization's virtualization initiatives. In 2008, Jeremy joined Talkred/Chinese for Parents as a Business Programs Developer. Jeremy helped launch a live 1:1 Chinese instruction company geared towards the teaching of practical Chinese and led and managed operational, technical and strategic initiatives. In 2010, they returned to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a Senior Platform Engineer. Jeremy was a SME in Microsoft System Center Technologies and specialized in monitoring LOB applications and automation work. In 2019, they moved to the role of Senior SRE Engineer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2021, they began their current role as Global Customer and Operations Support Manager for Demand Driven Technologies.

Jeremy Cheung received their MBA from Seattle University in 2009, with a focus in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelors of Science from the University of Washington in 2003, with a focus in Informatics.
