Summary Description:
The primary responsibilities of this role is to provide day to day HR support for employees. This support requires working closely with our Human Resource Manager to perform HR related activities including; recruitment, new hire orientation, maintaining and organizing personnel documents, employee relations, and additional administrative duties as required.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Drafting HR documents such as offer letters, policy documents, and separation documents.
  • Complete pre-employment background check, drug test, and reference checks
  • Conduct new hire orientation for; including completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Organize and maintain personnel records; including physical and digital employee files.
  • Maintain records and information in company HRIS system, this includes up to date field personnel records, leave information, and attendance records.
  • Obtain and track all required certifications for all employees
  • Assist HR Manager with recruitment tasks; including job postings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Maintain new hire store; this includes maintaining inventory and ordering new hire kit for new hires first day of employment
  • Assist with preparing reports, letters, memos and other correspondence as required.
  • Assist and support the Payroll Manager, Director of IT, and Director of Health and Safety by providing them up to date information on employees.
  • Assist HR Manager with annual open enrollment and benefit enrollment questions.
  • Assist with other duties as required.

Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR related experience.

  • Experience with employment/labor laws, and HR policies.

  • Efficient HR administrative and record-keeping skills.

  • The successful candidate will be relationship focused, possess a positive attitude, take pride in doing quality work, and be driven to produce results.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and proactively follow through on issues in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Excellent communication and people skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. HRIS experience is a plus.

  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
