Niels Verdoodt

Niels Verdoodt is an experienced professional with a strong background in environmental engineering and data analytics. Currently serving as a Milieu-ingenieur and Ingenieur automatisering at DEME Group since January 2020, Niels specializes in system support, training on PI historian data, and project architecture for image recognition initiatives. Previously, Niels worked as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on database coordination, data analysis, and visualization. Earlier experience includes a role as a Junior consultant at VeroTech, providing data analytics solutions, and a technical assistant position at Antea Group Nederland, where Niels engaged in hydrodynamic modeling and data analysis for water resources. Niels also gained research experience through internships at Unesp and Ghent University. Niels holds a Master of Science in Statistics and engineering degrees focused on bio-engineering and land and water management from Ghent University.
