Rik Geysen

Rik Geysen is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Second Mate at DEME Group since July 2023, with prior experience as a Second Mate Trainee. Geysen operates an arborist side business, Rik Treecare, providing tree pruning and felling services and consulting clients on tree safety and health since September 2020. Geysen completed a Master's degree in Nautical Sciences at Antwerp Maritime Academy, where various cadetships were undertaken with EXMAR Ship Management, including hands-on experience on multiple vessels. Additional experience includes working as a technician apprentice at Sabond Bv, focusing on maintenance and construction of industrial installations.
