Emmanuel George

Emmanuel George is currently the Senior Director of School Solutions at Democracy Prep Public Schools. Emmanuel has previously held positions as a teacher and administrator at various schools, including Harlem Village Academies, Harlem Children's Zone, Uniondale UFSD, HEMPSTEAD UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, Thomasville City Schools, and Guilford County Schools.

George has been instrumental in developing curricula and programs that have led to 100% of their students passing the New York State Science Exams. Emmanuel has also created and run all of Harlem Village Academies' Academic Recovery Programming, including Saturday School, After School Tutorial Program, and Network Summer School.

Emmanuel George has a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from The College of New Rochelle. Emmanuel also has two Bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Teaching from Livingstone College.

Emmanuel George works with Duncan Scherer - Assistant Superintendent & Managing Director of New York, Ralph Johnson - Vice President of College Access and Success, and Tanya Nunez - Assistant Superintendent. Emmanuel George reports to Steve Popper, Superintendent & Chief of Schools.
