Katrina Brown-Aliffi, Ed.D., is a dedicated dance educator with extensive experience in teaching and program development across various educational institutions. Currently serving as a Dance Educator at the Dance Education Laboratory since March 2025, Katrina developed a key curriculum module for adolescent learners. As a High School Dance Educator at Democracy Prep Public Schools since January 2017, Katrina implemented culturally sustaining dance education and taught required and elective courses to foster collaboration and leadership. Additionally, Katrina is an Adjunct Professor of Dance Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, guiding graduate students through licensure processes. Previous roles include founding the dance program at Success Academy Charter Schools and teaching at both The Brearley School and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Dance Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master of Arts in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
