Over the course of 27 years of professional experience, Dr. Massimo Mitolo has developed and applied an analytical approach to the calculations of prospective and effective touch voltages in electrical systems.
He is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of the design of low-voltage electrical installations, power systems analysis, bonding and grounding of power systems, electrical safety engineering, and electrical accident reconstruction.
Dr. Mitolo’s background includes a tenured professorship in Electrotechnics and Applications in Italy and extensive experience as a consultant engineer and expert witness in court. He has performed analysis of accidents caused by failure of protective measures against electric shock and direct contact with live parts. Dr. Mitolo is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Italy and in California, a licensed firefighter in New Jersey, and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI). He has authored over 100 journal papers in the field of electrical safety and the college textbooks: "Electrical Safety of Low-Voltage Systems" with McGraw-Hill, and "Laboratory Manual for Introduction to Electronics: A Basic Approach" with Pearson. Dr. Mitolo has been the recipient of numerous awards from professional societies.
