John Sutterfield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. John started their career in 1996 as a Lead Programmer at DL Computers, Inc, where they developed custom restaurant and point-of-sale software. John then worked as a Programmer at Indico Public, Inc, where they converted a large legacy application and maintained field installations for Emergency Services customers.

In 2000, John joined Employease, Inc as a Programmer/Analyst, responsible for creating custom connections, administering reporting tools, and testing new releases. John then moved on to ADP - Employease as a Configuration Engineer, leading deployment efforts and managing testing environments.

At ADP, John held the role of a Sr. Product Engineer, providing 24/7 support to the HR Benefits application infrastructure. John gained proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting critical application components.

In 2013, John joined The Weather Channel as a Sr. Systems Engineer, where they re-architected deployment processes and built/maintained cloud environments.

From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Principal DevOps Engineer at SnapAV, and then joined DemystData in 2019 as a Sr. Cloud Engineer with a focus on DevSecOps.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated a strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate and lead teams.

John Sutterfield has a background in Information Systems from The University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, they have studied Accounting at the University of Houston. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Zabbix Certified Professional certification in July 2014 from Zabbix SIA. John also holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certifications, which they obtained in August 2015 from Amazon Web Services.
