Richard Decal

Richard Decal is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Dendra Systems since February 2020, focusing on intelligence and automation services to combat global ecosystem degradation. Previously, Richard held roles as Lead Data Scientist and Data Scientist at PaceMate™, where machine learning was applied to enhance cardiac patient care. A research fellowship at the Allen Institute for Brain Science involved automating neuron cell tracing using deep reinforcement learning. Prior experience includes mentoring students in Python programming at Udacity, researching mosquito behavior at the University of Washington, and various research fellowships at New College of Florida. Richard holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from New College of Florida, a Nanodegree in Machine Learning Engineering from Udacity, and a BA (Honors) in Chemistry/Biology from New College of Florida.
