Interim Head : Infantry Systems at Denel Land Systems

Petros Mogabane has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Petros started their career in 2003 as a Candidate Engineer at ArcelorMittal, focusing on electrical distribution. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Project Manager for Capex Projects at ArcelorMittal. In 2008, they joined Siemens as a Project Manager in the Industrial Solutions division. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at Tongaat Hulett as a Divisional Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Manager. In 2012, they transitioned to the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality as an Independent Consultant, serving as a Project Manager in the Enterprise Project Management Office. Since 2014, they have been employed at Denel Land Systems, initially serving as a Project Manager for Infantry Systems in the Program Management Office. Petros then assumed the role of Project Manager for the Hoefyster Program - Badger Command Variant. In 2017, they further progressed to become the Senior Program Manager for the Hoefyster Program - Badger Product System. Currently, they hold the position of Interim Head of Infantry Systems at Denel Land Systems, starting in September 2022.

Petros Mogabane obtained a B.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronics from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit in 2003. In 2006, they earned a Certificate in First Line Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Later, in 2014, they completed a Masters degree in Project Management (General) from the University of Southern Queensland.

In addition to their formal education, Petros Mogabane has obtained several certifications. Petros completed Practical Quality 2 - Statistical Process Control in August 2015 and Practical Quality 1 - Principles of Quality in August 2014, both from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit. Furthermore, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2013.
