Ismael Martínez-Delgado

Ismael Martínez-Delgado has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ismael started their career as a Computers Educator at Master D in 2002. Ismael then became a PHD Researcher at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) from 2002 to 2006, focusing on astronomical research. In 2007, Ismael took on the role of Project Manager for a multidisciplinary project at the IAC related to the scientific exploitation of the new 10 m telescope GTC. Ismael managed the project's economic and administrative aspects and facilitated collaboration between researchers. Ismael joined Academia Salvador as a Mathematics Educator from 2009 to 2010, teaching mathematics to students. Ismael later joined the Centro de Astrobiologia (CAB-CSIC) as a Postdoctoral Scientist in 2011, where they contributed to the Test Team of MIRI, a mid-infrared instrument on-board the future space telescope James Webb (JWST). Ismael gained experience in data science through their role as a Data Scientist at Westcon-Comstor from 2019 to 2021, and then at Telefónica Tech from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they work as a Data Scientist at DeNexus. Ismael's early experience as an Astrophysicist and AIV Engineer at FRACTAL S.L.N.E. involved integrating, aligning, and verifying optical systems for astronomical instrumentation. Ismael Martínez-Delgado's education history begins in 1994 at the Universidad de Granada, where they studied Ciencias físicas (Physical Sciences) for three years. After completing their studies at the Universidad de Granada, they enrolled at the Universidad de La Laguna in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics with a major field of study in Astrophysics in 2000.

Ismael continued their education at the same university and pursued a Master of Advanced Studies in Astronomy & Astrophysics from 2002 to 2005. Ismael's academic journey culminated in 2009, when they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Astrophysics from the Universidad de La Laguna.

Later, in 2021, Ismael attended EAE Business School and pursued a Master's degree in Big Data & Analytics, specializing in the field of Big Data. Ismael completed their master's program in 2022.

Additionally, Ismael holds a certification for their Ph.D. obtained from the Universidad de La Laguna in October 2009.
