Michael Clark

Michael Clark has worked in a variety of roles in software engineering since 2013. Michael began their career as a Contract Software Developer for Nationwide Insurance, where they upgraded an existing Java project by rewriting it in Groovy/Grails. Michael then worked as a Software Engineer for Workiva, where they developed and maintained the Admin portions of the W-Desk software suite. In 2014, they held the position of Applications Developer at INTL FCStone Inc., developing and maintaining core applications systems such as authentication and data look up protocols. Michael then worked as a Software Consultant for Bay Lakes Information Systems, LLC, engineering web and mobile software stacks to integrate with an existing hotel property management software suite. In 2015, they worked as part of the Data Processing Team for the Polk County Assessors Office, administering, upgrading, and managing all IT responsibilities for the company. Michael then held the position of Lead Software Engineer for Denim\u00ae, where they were responsible for full stack React/Redux & Python development. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer for Hy-Vee, Inc. and as a Sr. Software Engineer for Gain Compliance. Michael currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Denim Social.

Michael Clark attended Collins-Maxwell High School from 2000 to 2005, graduating with a High School Diploma. Michael then attended Iowa State University from 2006 to 2006, studying Computer Engineering. Michael has also obtained two certifications from Triplebyte in December 2022.
