Derek Elizondo

Derek Elizondo is an experienced engineering designer currently employed at Dennis Group since February 2020, where responsibilities include utilizing AutoCAD for designing layouts of industrial food production facilities and integrating customer needs into design variations. Previously, Derek held roles as an HVAC Design Engineer at Spartan Motors, Inc., developing and enhancing HVAC products for firetrucks, and as a Product Design Engineer at DENSO, leading automotive HVAC projects from prototype to mass production. Derek also gained experience as a Designer at General Motors, where skills in 3D modeling and Six Sigma methods were applied to improve automotive parts. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Product Design Engineering Technology from Ferris State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting and Design Technology from Kellogg Community College.
